Probably the single most popular spot in the Columbia River Gorge. I normally try to avoid it when I take photos because it's so swarmed with people on the weekends but I couldn't resist to catch a glimpse of falls colors there.

I tried to capture this pic driving by and got this light pole instead don't go on a Holliday weekend there is no parking and lots of traffic. http://i.imgur.com/f40FFZu.jpg

specifically Rivendell.

Holy shit looks like something from lord of the rings or the hobbit

Then California invaded.

That's what living in Oregon pretty much looks like in the non summer months. Beautiful.

lmfao

I'm sorry

This is a really great shot! It's hard to get the whole falls in one image like this, and the perspective look very natural.

I love living here, but I am disappointed how little we have as far as fall colors go. This is about as good as it gets for our part of the world tho, nice shot! I tend to go there at night, because like you I've seen it so many times an "average" Multnomah falls shot is just too boring.

It wasn't always that crowded. My dad used to take his dog there to swim in the early 80s. Even as a kid in the early 90s, it was easy to find a parking spot and hike the trails.

Thank you. I went right at sunrise so there weren't many people yet
