/sub/osha is getting more mild by the minute, i swear most of the people posting here now have never done the simplest manual work in their lives.
They should have constructed a full scaffold and worn harnesses clipped in at two points, with a third person to stand at the bottom lmao. Also job insurance, a porta potty (with antibacterial hand wash ofc), and a closed off work area
They probably hire people to do simple shit at their house and them follow them around "to make sure they do it right"
How else should they do this?
I remember this illustration from some children's book I read like 20 years ago.
Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel.
Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel! I loved reading this as a kid. Thank you so much for the nostalgic trip
They're using it to keep the door open. Probably so no one bangs into it. It's a temp fix during construction.
Can you give me 30 seconds of my life back? There’s nothing unsafe about this. Worst case, the copper will bend some and you just need to reshape it.
If it were dangerous, the wire wouldn't be bare. It's as dangerous as touching the knob of you sink. Or touching the ciment floors barefoot.
Source : I'm an electrician
The guy before him was smarter and put tape over the latch
Probably cost more in duct tape and time to make that than it would to just buy a new oven mitt.
But they already paid for the tape to keep the hood from falling on the cooktops, so use what you have before laying out more cash!
Even the walls look filthy, I could only imagine what it's like working there...
You have no idea...
There's been an emergency.
You get one out. Second emergency, you're on your own.
Apparently someone did once.
Don't think that's the same place - that seems to be a few minutes south from here.
That better be some faaaaaaast food
Hardly related but my local Wendy's is no longer fast and it barely qualifies as food
SAME! Their fries used to be the BEST, now theyre soggy abominations.
Last time I waited like 15-20 minutes for my order as cars started piling behind me in line... crazy. Didnt think I’d even see the day McDs would be better.
They got cones up all good.
My propane tank is attached to my grill, it gets pretty hot, never once have i been concerned.
Not only does it get pretty hot but I bet there is an open flame! It’s a miracle that your alive to tell the tale
Gross. All that bird shit is a slipping hazard.
Really isn't that dangerous, those cylinders have tons of safety features, but I do love the irony of the No Smoking emblem.
They should start at the bottom, and do this Tetris style.
Take out a layer, it comes bumping down a bit and no one needs to climb high or catch anything.
Pass don't drop.
In china they would just untie one rope and the whole thing would collapse
how should this go according to regulations?
Good balance and all, but that concrete is gonna be ripply as hell
It's not even being smoothed...
Bad idea and poor execution.
Was going to comment the same thing. That is finishing like shit. Hopefully it's just subfloor that will be covered.
A shitty subfloor makes for a shitty finished floor. Everything translates through eventually. I’d charge an hour and bag rate and skim coat the entire floor after this disaster.
That’s one smug looking sign
I’d bet a couple dollars the medicine inside the first aid kit is well past it’s expiration date.
And there are zero bandaids.
Actually it's full of scorpions.
